Summer begins with A Bang

Ahhh the sun rises to greet us extra early, the birds are singing their melodies. Praising the warmth that took what seemed like an eternity to arrive. The clothes start getting smaller, and my skin starts getting browner. Oh how I love you Dear Summer! With the summer comes the summer bangers/Anthems, and do I have some new piff for you to light up, put in your pipe and smoke.
I have become quite addicted to twitter (follow me @doinit4mysoul) and found that Twitter is arena for music, movies, laughs and straight coonery! That's right! Twitter will bring the most diverse minds to one place and mash them all together for a mix unlike any other. I have been gifted through twitter to connect with people I would've never known had it not been for those 140 characters I get to share. I've thanked artists and producers for their music. I've slandered thristy groupies, and stick riders.I alway have something to say on @Bigtiggershow twitter topics. I still have one person I dream of receiving a RT from non other then Mr. Bridges himself @Ludacris! <--sounds like I am becoming parched, nahhhh!

So through twitter I have met one of the most out spoken, level headed gentlemen ever Mr. @Brick_james. Through this connection he has put me on, or schooled me if you will on where to find good music. He seems to have quite a eclectic taste of music. As noticed on his Grooveshark playlist. Grooveshark is an online radio/music listening site where you can choose from thousands of songs and create your own playlist. It's amazing! The first playlist I sampled was @brick_james Work Playlist. Two songs in, I was dry humping my chair hoping my coworkers wouldn't catch me. Amazing I tell you! Needless to say I w
ill be back for more. Hope my chair is ready. LMAO!
Just today @Brick_james told me about @jansportJ! You can find his music here http://jansportj.bandcamp.com/releases . I don't know too much about him or the history of his music. Since @Brick_james shared the link I have listened to the album two times in a row. He kinda reminds me of Dilla mixed with Kanye.I hope in all ways possible he finds that a compliment. Music now is so electric pop. Forgetting the very soul roots that were planted years ago. I want to hear instruments, and vocals that aren't auto tuned, or screamed at me through my speakers. I want my head to naturally start bobbing. I want the deepest part of me to recognize this is why I fell in love with music. This is why I rush to the car, just to hear an artist song pouring out of my subs! @jansportj does just that! I can't wait to see what else he has to offer.

Drake seems to have a new song out! Yahhh I like Drake , than again most females do. He's a captain Save a Hoe for these thirsty club bitches. Saving each stripper with every dollar thrown. With that said his new song is a guaranteed summer smash

His YMCMB label mate is killing the charts right now. Nicki Minaj is doing very well with her first album Pink Friday. To my surprise I actually like this album A LOT. There are a few tracks I don't care for. For the most part I enjoy it!My favorite tracks are I'm the Best, Blazin and my top fave is Save Me. Her most current single Super Bass is perfect for the summer, the video alone makes me hot!
Nicki has also teamed up with the super tramp herself, Brittany Spears and her cousin Keisha. They colabed for Till the world Ends Remix. Again to much of my surprise I love it. Like literally, love it. Like played it 5 times in a row, made it my ringtone love it! Horrible I know!
Adele has a new CD out, very hot! She has such a soulful sound. Her writing skills and melodic tunes are great! She is blazing the charts with her hit, Rolling in The Deep.
I also like Turn Tables. Very smooth and perfect with a glass of wine and the setting sun.
With the summer just beginning and the temps already in the 100's I am sure this is goin to be a summer to remeber.. LETS GOOOOOOO!! <--lil Jon Voice

On a completely different style of music which I hardly listen to. This song right here is my new summer theme song!! No I am not Mexican, but I will salsa my meaty hips and thighs to this one!!
Good Day Sir...

Mr.RnB Hippy Neo Soul Rock Star has dropped yet another Mix tape, and this time he will be Jackin for Beats. That's the title of his latest masterpiece. It seems that Mr.Devaughn is not gonna let the lack of label activity stop his explosive creative singing, and beat jocking skills. This will make for what I believe is his 13th mix tape to hit the streets. This man is the hustle in the word hustler! He hustles his music for us Soul fiends, and keeps us hooked with his sultry voice, and erotic lyrics. Not to mention those amazingly juicy lips..
Raheem has never strayed from his "Vision" he has always remained true to who he is as an artist. He may seduce you with his sexual lyrics, but he rocks you right to sleep with his heavenly caress of pure love in his own special way.Raheem caught my attention back in 2005 and I have been addicted to his music since, my addiction is enough to last me a life time.

Cee-Lo is Killin it with The Lady Killer

If I could use a term to describe the new Cee-Lo album it would be, and I quote, "Retro Hip-Hop" it’s authentic sound of soulful melodies that influenced Cee-Lo as an artist shine as bright as the Cosmic star that sent Mr. Green here to earth. There is no room for stereotypes on this album. Not every hip hop artist has sold their soul for all that glitters. Cee Lo has always remained true to who is as an artist, regardless of who was judging. The South has never sounded so Motown then now. When I say Motown, I am referring to that old Detroit Michigan soul aching, back ground lady singing, heart wrenching music. The Kind of music that would make Al Green turn over in his grave, because the soulful beats are too strong to resist.
Saying I have many favorite tracks would be the honest truth, but pinning them down to just a few is hard as ever! One track that seem to stick out with the loudest of Jam sessions is "I want You" His church like thank you Lords are so heartfelt and sincere, you can't help but sing along with his praises of thanks for his beloved.
His whole album is full of toe tapping hits. I envision little cupids flying around bouncing along to the beat as they shoot their arrows of love through my speakers.
His first single FU is a standout, with its racy lyrics and in your face freedom of speech statement. To many like I, this is one of the catchiest ways to flip someone the bird via soul music. Yet he only remains heartbroken and bitter on this one track. All others seem to tell a story of a love he has come to know, and seems to adore very much.
This album is like a fine wine, aged and good to the last drop! With the constant saturation of pop music, with its machine beats, and lack of instruments Cee Lo busts in the room with full band backup singers and orchestra trailing behind, All the while belting out his feelings and emotions in the most harmonic way.My last words, GO BUY THIS FUCKIN' ALBUM IT ROCKS!

Enjoying this Teenage Dream

I am intensely becoming addicted to Katy Parry's "Not like the Movies", Katy's new album is turning out to be just as splendid as the last. Nervous I was upon hearing her summer smash "California Girls. It was too pop, and Candied up for my liking.
But this, this sh*t right here! The emotions that can touch any girls heart, knowing she too has always been waiting for her Soul Mate.

Just listen

Music for Bitterness

Only in 2010 will you hear a R&B singer say "I hope she cheats on you with a Basketball player" That's the title to Marsha Ambroisa's new song. Formerly of the Group Floetry. Marsha is definitely doin her thang' on this track! Obviously someone has done her wrong, causing her to be bitter, as she says. Yet what man doesn't push us to go sour sometimes. If you have had your heart broken this is your theme song! Even with the bitterness, this track is a thumper! Silky smooth beat with just enough bass to get your head rockin. Throw in some sincere words, and you have a perfect, finger up chuck the duces to the loser type mentality.
Funny what we realize when were finally out of the grips of a nasty relationship. While we go through it our hearts seem to be so victimized, then comes along a song that just makes us realize, Naw it's much better now.. Your reminded of what they did. Like nature though, what goes around comes around! This song is a guaranteed hit! I put that out there.. That's right you heard it from me.. This song will put her back on the map, and she is gonna hit hard!
